“Book Fair” was held at the Central Office of the MIA to promote reading culture

A “Book Fair” was organized at the Central Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of ongoing efforts to promote a reading culture and encourage increased interest in books among employees and the wider public.
The event was held within the framework of the implementation of the Presidential Resolution of Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated January 15, 2026, aimed at developing reading culture and expanding access to literature across the country during 2026–2030.
The event was organized in cooperation with the “Yangi Asr Avlodi” and “Yoshlar matbuoti” publishing houses, and featured a wide range of books that have been released under the BOOK.UZ brand.
The participants had the opportunity to explore literature in a range of genres, including fiction, popular science, history, and personal development. Many books recommended for ministry employees were purchased during the event as a result of the special interest shown in them.
The attendees expressed appreciation to the organizers for creating an environment that encourages reading and intellectual growth by highlighting the importance of such educational and cultural initiatives.
Today, Uzbekistan continues to place special emphasis on developing the publishing industry, promoting reading among young people, and popularizing the most outstanding examples of national and world literature. This kind of event contributes both to the support of the book industry and to the enrichment of society's intellectual and spiritual development.
