Sirdarya has launched a new initiative to strengthen cybersecurity and advance digital transformation. An "Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity" center will be established in Yangiyer according to the priorities set by the Head of State to accelerate digitalization, address emerging threats, and enhance cyber literacy among the population.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Sirdarya Regional Internal Affairs Department and the Yangiyer branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technologies. The center will be developed based on the "Sirdarya experience," incorporating best practices from countries such as the United States, Turkey, Japan, France, Singapore, and Estonia.
The launch event brought together the leadership of the regional internal affairs department, specialists from cybercrime units, and representatives of higher education institutions.
Several stages will be involved in the introduction of the center's activities. Initially, training programs will focus on equipping state employees with essential cybersecurity skills. Later stages of the program will include representatives from the private sector and non-governmental organizations.
The initiative aims to ensure that trained specialists actively promote cybersecurity awareness in their workplaces, thereby contributing to a broader culture of digital safety in society.
At the event, experts presented the center's main directions, planned activities, and expected outcomes. Following the session, the Sirdarya Regional Internal Affairs Department and the Yangiyer branch of the institute signed a memorandum of cooperation.
According to the memorandum, participants will study various types of cybercrime, the methods used by offenders, modern protective tools, and effective awareness-raising strategies.
