Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel Diyorbek Sattarov, led a meeting on strengthening legality and service discipline in the internal affairs system at the Sirdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
During the session, existing shortcomings and systemic challenges in the field were thoroughly and critically analyzed from both practical and legal perspectives.
The results of the investigation led to the conclusion that preventive measures were insufficiently effective, a consistent and systematic approach to combating crime was absent, and some officials were negligent in fulfilling their duties, which negatively affected the status of legality. As a result, such deficiencies were emphasized as being incompatible with the fundamental rule of law requirement that state authorities operate strictly within the law.
Particular attention was given to a recent incident that gained public attention on April 2, involving a senior official of the regional department and a close relative. The case was critically discussed and assessed as a serious violation, highlighting the risks of abuse of authority and misuse of official positions for personal interests.
It was underscored that the dismissal of Lieutenant Colonel Sherzod Pardaev, in accordance with the relevant order of the Ministry, demonstrated the firm application of the principle of the inevitability of accountability. Deputy Minister Diyorbek Sattarov emphasized that strict and uncompromising measures will continue to be taken against any employee who violates service discipline, regardless of rank or position.
At the conclusion of the meeting, senior officials were given clear instructions to promptly address identified shortcomings, strengthen oversight mechanisms, and ensure the consistent and effective implementation of measures aimed at reinforcing legality and discipline across the system.
