A meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs of our country, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police General Vladimir Kolokoltsev, was held in Tashkent to develop international cooperation in the fight against crime. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov, also attended the event.
A delegation of field officials led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation visited the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to ensure the implementation of the joint action plan signed on May 27 by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on expanding cooperation in priority areas of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
During a meeting between the heads of the internal affairs departments of the two countries, important issues were discussed, including ensuring the rights and freedoms of Uzbek citizens staying in Russia and the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens living in Uzbekistan, including preventing violations and addressing illegal migration cases. Among the topics discussed were the cooperation of field services in the fight against crime, including cybercrime, fraud, drug trafficking, and other transnational organized crimes, as well as the capture of those who are wanted.
Additionally, the parties stressed the importance of training personnel for internal affairs bodies, improving their qualifications and strengthening relations in the field of scientific research.
Following the event, the participants signed a protocol outlining the practical and prospective tasks relating to the agenda items.
As part of the event, Pulat Bobojonov and Vladimir Kolokoltsev visited the "Victory Park" memorial complex in Tashkent.
Our multinational peoples remember with special respect our centuries-old common history and its bright pages, including the Victory in the Second World War.
During their visit, the ministers of internal affairs of the two countries remembered the fallen Uzbek soldiers. They laid a wreath at the base of the "Hymn of Courage" monument dedicated to the memory of Zulfia aya Zakirova, who lost her five sons in the war. They also got acquainted with the rich exposition of the Museum of Honor dedicated to the history of Uzbekistan's participation in the war.
During the visit, the Russian partners also learned about the Coordination and Monitoring Center of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Center is considered the only information space covering public security processes. Digital technologies analyze the situation in the regions and employees' activities. Currently, the activities of more than 10,000 preventive inspectors are monitored and evaluated in six directions.
The Center integrates programs such as "E-Public Safety" and "E-Social Situation" and uniform information systems for traffic safety, crime prevention, and public order services. More than six thousand digital surveillance cameras are integrated. Through video communication, it is also planned to conduct remote training courses for prevention inspectors, road patrol, post patrol, and probation officers.
During the process, foreign guests were shown vehicles, special equipment, and modern tools and weapons used in the field by the internal affairs bodies of our country.
The event took place in a highly constructive and businesslike environment characterized by friendship and mutual trust, which is of significance for strengthening all-around cooperation between the sectors.
