Two Uzbek citizens who were wanted for committing crimes have been returned to the Republic of Uzbekistan as a result of effective international cooperation.
As a result of close collaboration between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Manama, an individual who had been placed on the international wanted list for fraud was extradited from the Kingdom of Bahrain at the request of the Uzbek authorities. The extradition became possible due to the coordinated actions of the competent authorities of both countries and the effective use of Interpol’s international police cooperation mechanisms.
An Uzbek citizen who had been wanted by the internal affairs bodies of Uzbekistan for committing large-scale theft was deported from the United States to Uzbekistan as a result of joint operational-search activities carried out in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States of America in Uzbekistan and within the framework of information exchange with the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan.
Following negotiations, coordinated operational actions, and the exchange of information between the parties, the competent authorities of the United States decided to transfer the wanted individual to Uzbekistan.
These cases once again demonstrate the effectiveness of international cooperation between law enforcement agencies and highlight the significant role of rapid information exchange through Interpol channels in combating transnational crime. Individuals who have been returned to Uzbekistan will be held accountable according to the laws of the country.
