On March 3, the Institute of Criminology hosted the European Liaison Officer on Return (EURLO) of the European Union, N. Rogowska, for a bilateral meeting focused on strengthening cooperation.
This visit provided the guest with a detailed overview of the Institute's activities, its key achievements since its establishment, and its priorities for future development. An emphasis was placed on ongoing research initiatives and the role of the Institute in supporting law enforcement practice through scientific analysis.
In response, Ms. Rogowska shared proposals relating to verifying the identity of irregular migrants, coordinating return procedures, expanding cooperation with partner countries, and introducing best practices in reintegration and post-return assistance. Furthermore, the parties discussed the organization of future training seminars and professional development programs.
Further, the meeting discussed the possibility of conducting joint international research projects and specialized trainings relating to the prevention of illegal migration and document fraud, in accordance with the European Union's migration and return policy framework.
Following the talk, an agreement was reached to enhance cooperation between Polish and Uzbek law enforcement agencies, strengthening the partnership and enhancing the exchange of experience in mutually beneficial areas.
