Activities related to drug trafficking in Zangiota district were neutralized

A comprehensive program of operational measures is being implemented in Zangiota district of the Tashkent region in order to ensure a safe and crime-free environment. In cooperation with the State Security Service, Tashkent Regional Internal Affairs Department officers have taken decisive action against the illegal trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances under the "capital model."
In one instance, a 22-year-old resident of Yakkasaroy district was apprehended while selling 26 potent pharmaceutical drugs to a covert buyer for 2 million UZS.
Five additional people were identified and detained as a result of subsequent operational measures in Sergeli, Quyi Chirchiq, Kibray, and Mirzo Ulugbek districts. These individuals were three men and two women aged between 26 and 50 who had been supplying drugs. The entire six-member distribution chain was dismantled within four days by law enforcement officers. A total of 98 potent pharmaceutical drugs in various forms and 135 grams of hashish were seized as evidence.
Similarly, in Zangiota district, a 1993-born Kokand resident was arrested while trying to sell 1,181 psychotropic tablets for 30 million UZS.
Overall, 16 criminal cases related to drugs and psychotropic substances have been initiated in Zangiota district over the past 40 days, and two organized crime groups have been suppressed.
As a result of the operations, approximately 1 kilogram of narcotic substances in various forms, 1,371 potent tablets, and 400 grams of synthetic narcotics equivalent to around 2,000 doses were removed from illegal circulation.
Operational search and preventive measures in this direction are being systematically continued.
