A direct and open dialogue with citizens remains a key priority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The purpose of personal receptions is to provide individuals with the opportunity to address their concerns as quickly as possible, to eliminate unnecessary delays and bureaucratic obstacles, and to strengthen the public's trust in the government.
Moreover, citizens' appeals serve as an important mechanism for identifying and addressing existing shortcomings in the work of internal affairs bodies.
Guided by the principle of a “listening state,” the leadership of the Ministry views personal receptions not merely as a formal procedure, but as a practical platform for carefully studying each issue and ensuring the protection of citizens’ rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests.
During the personal reception, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Head of the Public Security Department, Major General R.M. Juraev, received 75 citizens from Tashkent city and Tashkent region. Appeals concerned matters related to pre-trial investigation, inquiry and preliminary investigation processes, execution of sentences, migration issues, the activities of the crime prevention service, and other areas.
As a result of the review, 15 appeals were successfully resolved on the spot. Five applicants were provided with qualified legal explanations and guidance. Appeals from 40 citizens requiring additional review were forwarded to the relevant responsible officials with specific instructions. Their legal resolution has been placed under strict monitoring.
The Ministry will continue systematic efforts to ensure openness, responsiveness, and effective protection of citizens’ rights.
