On January 2, officers of the Aydar–Arnasoy Lake System Protection Unit of the Security Department stopped and inspected a “Lacetti” vehicle driving at night within the controlled area of the lake system. As a result of the inspection, a total of 344 illegally caught fish of four different species were found in the vehicle.
On the same day, department officers also detained two individuals who engaged in illegal fishing using boats and nets within the lake area. Preliminary inspections revealed that the suspects had 40 pike fish.
Currently, the necessary procedural documents are being prepared and forwarded to the judicial authorities for legal consideration. The seized fish products have been handed over to the designated limited liability company responsible for servicing the area.
As a result of illegal fishing activities, 387 million UZS have been damaged to the natural environment.
