A wanted woman was extradited to Uzbekistan

As part of the nationwide “Safe and Healthy Country” operational-preventive measures, effective cooperation has been strengthened between the Operational Investigations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
During this collaboration, law enforcement officers were successful in detaining a person who had been wanted for an extended period of time for committing a crime on the territory of Uzbekistan.
According to official information, investigative efforts led to the location of citizen A.D., born in 1962, who was wanted under Part 2, Article 244¹ of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and had been on the wanted list since 2006. The individual was found hiding in Istanbul, Turkey, detained, and extradited to Uzbekistan in accordance with established legal procedures.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that such coordinated efforts demonstrate the growing effectiveness of international cooperation in ensuring punishment and strengthening public safety.
