Uzbekistan and Moldova held a meeting at the MIA Academy on improving cooperation in the fight against human trafficking

On December 3, a working meeting was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the support of the International Organization for Migration. The discussions brought together the Head of the Center for Combating Human Trafficking of the Main Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, V. Pshenichy, and representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on improving joint efforts to combat and prevent human trafficking. They reached an agreement to strengthen cooperation, share advanced practices, and implement a number of joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the fight against human trafficking.
As part of the visit, the Moldovan delegation was also introduced to the activities of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The guests received detailed information about the Academy’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, areas of specialization, modern educational approaches, scientific potential, and international partnerships. They also familiarized themselves with the conditions created for cadets and the ongoing efforts to upgrade the institution’s material and technical resources.
The meeting concluded in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. Both sides identified priority areas for future collaboration with the Center for Combating Human Trafficking in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
