The children are not only the future of their families, but also the foundation of society and the state. In this regard, the leadership of Uzbekistan pays significant attention to the protection of the rights, freedoms, lives, and health of minors.
The state policy continues to focus on identifying children who have been left without parental care abroad, providing them with legal and practical assistance, and ensuring their safe return to their home countries.
According to Resolution No.6 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 7, 2020, consistent efforts are being made in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency for Social Protection, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to return these minors to Uzbekistan.
As a result of this coordinated work, on November 2, 20 Uzbek children who had been left without parental care were returned from Russian Federation.
Currently, the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs is taking the necessary measures to reunite the returned children with their close relatives and ensure their adaptation and well-being.
