Meeting on social adaptation of pardoned persons was held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan

In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No PD-148 dated August 26, 2025, “On the pardon of a group of persons serving a sentence of deprivation of liberty, who sincerely repent of their actions and resolutely embarked on the path of correction,” 13 individuals were released from punishment in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
On September 13, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Colonel Bakhtiyar Torebekov, met with the pardoned individuals. The event focused on ensuring their social adaptation, preventing repeated offenses, and addressing their appeals regarding existing issues. Measures to provide financial support were also discussed, and relevant instructions were given to responsible officials for their timely implementation.
