The head of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Abduvosit Abdurazakov, is currently analyzing efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the criminal landscape across various districts and cities within the region.
In alignment with the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PD-1, issued on January 3, 2025, focused assessments were conducted in Bekabad city. As a result of these assessments, significant guidelines were developed to prevent crimes and offenses within mahallas. Additionally, a proactive approach to engaging families experiencing conflict and those at risk of separation was discussed.
During these discussions, it was strongly emphasized that mahalla councils should actively engage with residents and address the concerns of every individual within the community.
Moreover, strategies for enhancing the use of technological tools in crime prevention were discussed. As part of the "Safe Corridor" project, this includes evaluations of facilities with panic buttons, as well as initiatives to enhance the safety of institutions and settlements through the installation of night lighting systems and surveillance cameras.
A review was also conducted of the effectiveness of the security department's prevention activities, the operations of evening and night patrols, and the overall condition of duty stations. Specific instructions were issued to rectify the identified shortcomings.
These comprehensive measures are aimed at preventing criminal activities in mahallas, ensuring a peaceful and secure living environment for all citizens.
