Media representatives recently visited the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors, operated by the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs. During the press tour, they were greeted by the dedicated staff at the center. They provided an overview of the "Safe Family" project.
It was highlighted that there are currently 1,215 families in Tashkent living in detrimental conditions. These families have 366 individuals identified as alcoholics and 52 as drug addicts. Moreover, approximately 420 families are reported to be on the brink of separation.
As part of the comprehensive measures under the "Safe Family" project, targeted initiatives are being implemented to engage children from these at-risk families in collaborative activities alongside their parents. Notably, around 20 children from such families have already been enrolled at the center, benefiting from tailored support services.
During the tour, journalists and bloggers had the opportunity to explore the facilities of the center, interacting with the students individually. They gathered insights from young individuals who are receiving vocational training and engaging in animal care as part of their development.
