A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan attended the meeting of heads of the operational services of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries in Astana, Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan recently participated in a significant gathering of the heads of operational services from the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. This meeting was primarily focused on addressing critical issues relating to the combating organized crime.
Delegations from the Ministries of Internal Affairs representing several member states including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were in attendance, alongside representatives from the Bureau for Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes within the CIS member states.
First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Colonel Ayubhon Rakhmatullayev led the delegation from Uzbekistan.
The meeting featured key addresses from Lieutenant General of Police Oleg Konovalov, the Director of the Bureau for Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes, as well as various representatives from the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries.
Discussions during the meeting highlighted crucial measures aimed at combating illicit trafficking in weapons, narcotics, and psychotropic substances. These measures focused on Internet challenges. Additional topics included strategies to counter extremism and cybercrime, as well as initiatives to enhance international data exchange.
In a constructive and collaborative atmosphere, participants expressed their commitment to further enhance cooperation and share expertise in the ongoing fight against transnational crime.
