Public Safety and Crime Prevention efforts were reviewed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan

The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan held a meeting to assess the implementation of key tasks aimed at strengthening public safety, preventing crime, and ensuring the effective execution of Presidential Resolutions No. PR-1 and PR-2.
During the review, particular attention was given to the implementation of the measures outlined in the resolutions. In addition, the current criminal situation in the region, and the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order. Officials analyzed the crime prevention activities, public safety measures, the handling of citizens’ appeals, and the overall effectiveness of preventive work carried out in local communities. Additionally, the study examined initiatives focused on combating crime among young people, reducing repeat offenses, and improving citizen safety and security. In order to identify practical solutions to existing challenges, the activities of relevant services and responsible officials were evaluated.
As a result of the findings, a comprehensive discussion was held regarding the shortcomings and issues identified during the review. The responsible leaders and personnel were given specific instructions for improving performance, strengthening preventive measures, and ensuring the full and timely implementation of the tasks established by presidential decisions. In order to achieve these priority objectives, particular attention was paid to improving oversight and accountability.
A separate meeting was held with representatives of mahalla sevens to discuss measures to transform mahallas classified as "red" and "yellow" into "green" categories through targeted social and preventive initiatives. A review of the activities of these mahallas was conducted, and practical recommendations were provided in order to further improve their efficiency.
