A delegation from South Korea visited the Bukhara region as part of ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The visit is being conducted within the framework of a joint project aimed at strengthening institutional capacity through the establishment of a Simulation Training Center at the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the visit program, members of the Korean delegation familiarized themselves with the activities of the Safe Tourism Department of the Bukhara Regional Internal Affairs Department. The visit was organized to support the development of practical training programs and the exchange of international experience in ensuring the safety and security of tourists. During the meeting, the guests reviewed the comprehensive measures being implemented in Bukhara to ensure safe tourism, including modern working conditions created for personnel and the effective organization of services in areas frequently visited by tourists. The delegation also visited the city's unique historical and cultural sites.
The visit is expected to contribute to the development of further training programs based on international best practices, enhancing the professional competencies of personnel working in the sector, and strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea in promoting safe and sustainable tourism.
