Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs visited Bukhara region: focus is on public safety and youth development

On the eve of Eid al-Adha celebrations, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel D.N. Sattarov visited the Bukhara region to review preparations aimed at ensuring the holiday is celebrated in a peaceful, secure, and festive environment.
The visit began at the Operational Control Center of the Bukhara Regional Internal Affairs Department. Here, the Deputy Minister familiarized himself with measures being implemented to maintain public order and security during the holiday period. An emphasis was placed on the effective deployment of personnel, technical resources, as well as preventive measures to ensure citizens' safety.
During the presentation, responsible officials provided detailed information about the continuous monitoring system established through the use of surveillance cameras in areas where public gatherings and celebrations are expected to take place. According to the report, all necessary security measures had been taken to ensure that citizens could peacefully perform Eid prayers at mosques throughout the region.
The visit continued in the historic Old City area of Bukhara, where an award ceremony was held for the winners of the "Young Book Reader" competition organized by the regional administration. In this event, talented and intellectually active young people were recognized for their outstanding reading and educational achievement.
As part of their remarks to the participants, officials congratulated the winners and expressed confidence that the young generation would continue to strive for knowledge, accomplish new achievements, and contribute to the country's development and prosperity.
Following the visit, Colonel D.N. Sattarov, accompanied by the regional internal affairs department leadership, reviewed the daily activities of officers serving in the “Old City” area. Relevant instructions were given on ensuring citizens’ safety during the holiday period, maintaining high-quality services for tourists and local residents, and strengthening vigilance in public places.
