Uzbekistan and Serbia discuss expanding cooperation in migration and labor

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ramazon Ashropov, met with the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia, Milica Stamenkovski.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to issues related to the "Tashkent International Migration Forum," which is taking place in Uzbekistan on May 18-19.
As part of the discussions, the parties exchanged views on strengthening bilateral collaboration in the areas of migration management, preventing illegal migration, and human trafficking, as well as improving the professional skills of specialists in these fields.
It was emphasized that expanding practical cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries is essential for effectively addressing the challenges of modern migration.
During the dialogue, a proposal was also put forward to sign an intergovernmental agreement on “Migration and Mobility.” It was noted that the implementation of such an agreement would create broader opportunities for timely and effective cooperation through the use of innovative technologies and modern approaches in the migration field.
