A training and practical seminar was held to enhance the quality of investigations at the DIA of Namangan region

The event was organized within the framework of a joint resolution of the Prosecutor General and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 24, 2026, No. 23, “On the Introduction of a New Practice for Establishing Procedural Deadlines for Completing Criminal Cases,” as well as based on the positive results derived from the Surkhandarya region.
The seminar was organized by the Chairman of the Namangan Regional Criminal Court Board, the First Deputy Prosecutor of the region, and the Head of the Investigation Department of the regional Internal Affairs Department. The event was attended by investigators from the regional investigation units and subordinate departments, as well as investigators from the prosecutors' office and court representatives.
During the seminar, participants reviewed the practical results achieved through the implementation of the "Surkhandarya experience" in investigative activities, as well as discussed shortcomings and potential improvements.
An emphasis was placed on ensuring timely completion of criminal cases, defining procedural deadlines clearly, improving procedural discipline, and protecting citizens' rights and freedoms throughout the investigation.
Investigators received practical recommendations and methodological guidance from responsible officials in order to improve the effectiveness, quality, and legality of their investigations.
Following the seminar, specific tasks were outlined to eliminate identified shortcomings, strengthen accountability in investigative procedures, and ensure that new practices are effectively implemented across all lower-level divisions.
