Leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reviewed crime prevention efforts and employee welfare in Navoi Region

A working group led by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and the First Deputy Prosecutor General carried out field studies in Navoi city, the districts of Karmana and Nurota, as well as the city of Gazgan. They focused on measures aimed at stabilizing the criminal situation, strengthening preventive activities, and improving the social protection and living conditions of employees.
During the visit to the “Kimyogar” mahalla in Navoi city, the officials reviewed ongoing efforts related to crime and offense prevention, support for women, and the implementation of Presidential Resolutions No. PR-1 and PR-2. Responsible officials were given practical instructions on further improving measures to create a safe environment in mahallas.
At the Navoi City Internal Affairs Department, presentations were delivered on the criminal situation in the area, the effectiveness of preventive work, and the activities of inspector-psychologists. Particular attention was also paid to expanding surveillance systems and installing panic buttons in markets and other crowded public places.
Afterward, the working group visited the "Yangi Ariq" mahalla in Karmana district, where discussions focused on the activities of the "mahalla seven," existing crime-related issues, and enhancing awareness and outreach efforts among residents. Also, the delegation checked security measures and operational activities at the district's central "Dehqon" market, as well as getting acquainted with the cavalry units of the National Guard.
In the “Gafur Gulom” mahalla of Nurota district and the “Shaikhon” mahalla of Gazgan city, officials discussed measures aimed at improving preventive activities, strengthening dialogue with residents and creating a safe social environment. The delegation also reviewed employment initiatives being implemented at the “Marmarobod” enterprise.
During the visit, special attention was paid to the working conditions and living conditions of the prevention inspectors. Specifically, the service residence of Senior Lieutenant Bobirjon Turaev was inspected.
Based on the results of the studies, it was emphasized that ensuring strong social support for employees remains one of the key factors in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal affairs system.
