The Major General Tokhir Aripov presented a briefing on the measures being undertaken to improve the crime situation in the region, prevent offenses, and enhance public safety in general. A special emphasis was placed on the results achieved in the first quarter of 2026, as well as the key priorities for the future.
A focus was also placed on the implementation of tasks outlined at a recent critical meeting moderated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These include the strengthening of efforts to combat organized crime, drug-related offenses, cybercrime, and the shadow economy.
The report also highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at transforming the Samarkand region into a crime-free area, alongside projects focused on ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens.
Following the discussion, a number of proposals and recommendations were submitted, which were taken into account when defining priority tasks for the future.
