A series of practical events were organized throughout the city as part of the forum titled "Combating Transnational Drug Threats to Ensure Public Health and Safety." This prestigious event that provided delegates from foreign law enforcement agencies with an opportunity to learn about the activities of internal affairs bodies, as well as their approaches to ensuring and coordinating security at major events.
During the program, representatives of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Finland, Austria, and France visited the Situation Center of the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs, where particular attention was given to its modern management and monitoring capacities.
The guests were also presented with special equipment, weapons, and a range of operational tools used in the daily work of law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, presentations were delivered to foreign partners regarding the measures being implemented to ensure security in Samarkand and other popular tourist destinations. These briefings highlighted efforts to maintain public order, protect visitors, and prevent emergency situations.
The visiting delegations highly appreciated the work being done to ensure public safety in Uzbekistan, recognizing it as a model of effective practice. The meetings also resulted in agreements to further strengthen cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experience in the future.
