Security Department under the MIA reviewed measures to strengthen regional security services

According to the instructions of the Head of State, the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an extensive study with the objective of improving the effectiveness of security services throughout the country.
A working group led by Head of the Security Department, K.A. Shodibekov, visited Andijan and Fergana regions to assess current practices, identify existing challenges, and provide practical support for enhancing the performance of security units.
As part of the visit, the team reviewed the overall operations of security units, as well as the technical condition of protected facilities, particularly those of strategic and national significance. Attention was also given to personnel working conditions, resource provision, and the level of operational readiness.
Meetings were held with facility managers to discuss ways to strengthen protection measures and expand the use of modern digital technologies to ensure security.
As part of the program, members of the working group also met with the families of personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. Instructions were given to regional leaders to provide comprehensive support and create favorable conditions for their children.
Additionally, specific instructions were issued to improve coordination between monitoring centers of security units and the duty services of internal affairs bodies. An emphasis was placed on the organization of effective rapid response groups and ensuring their close collaboration with sectoral services when responding to crimes and incidents.
