The Standing Commission reviews the anti-corruption and crime prevention efforts in Surkhandarya region

A regular meeting of the Standing Commission of the Surkhandarya Regional Council of People’s Deputies on Combatting Corruption and Security Issues was held. This meeting brought together commission members and relevant officials. The session took place remotely via the Zoom platform.
The participants reviewed a report detailing the activities conducted by the internal affairs bodies during the first three months of 2026, focusing on crime prevention, the fight against offenses, and anti-corruption measures.
The report was presented by First Deputy Head of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Akmal Bokhodirov. During the meeting, deputies actively engaged in discussion, raising questions and receiving detailed responses to the issues of concern.
A particular focus was placed on preventing cybercrime, protecting citizens from emerging digital threats, and strengthening preventive measures in this area. As a result of the discussions, specific tasks were outlined in order to further enhance the effectiveness of the ongoing activities.
