handling public appeals is ongoing at the Academy of State Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This program was organized in order to implement the instructions that the Head of State issued during the videoconference meeting on March 13, which aimed to improve the system of addressing citizen appeals, strengthening public feedback analysis, improving officer communication culture, and enhancing investigative processes.
During the training, heads of investigative units from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan will be present along with leaders of investigation departments from the city of Tashkent and regional departments, including district and city levels. Sessions are being conducted with the participation of representatives from key institutions, including the Presidential Administration, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Chamber of Advocates, and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, alongside leading professors and field experts.
During the seminar, Minister of Internal Affairs Aziz Tashpulatov critically reviewed the current state of investigative work. He highlighted shortcomings in the pre-investigation checks, inquiries, and forensic procedures. Practical recommendations were provided to improve the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of handling appeals from both individuals and legal entities.
In this regard, it was noted that appeals in the investigative sphere are directly related to the lives of individuals and therefore, in strict accordance with legal principles, they must not only be registered, but also thoroughly analyzed and assessed.
A key objective of the course is to reinforce a renewed professional approach among officers, as well as strengthen public confidence in the police system. The training program continues in accordance with the identified priorities for further improvement.
