A comprehensive review of efforts aimed at improving the security situation in the "Kashkar" mahalla of Yunusabad district was conducted by the leadership of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Following the Presidential decree issued earlier this year on creating a safe environment in mahallas, systematic work has been intensified in areas classified as high-risk. Accordingly, targeted measures are currently being implemented in the "Kashkar" mahalla, which had previously been identified as a "red" area.
Academy professors and specialists assigned to the area analyzed factors affecting the local criminogenic situation using scientific and practical approaches. Based on their findings, concrete steps were identified to address existing challenges.
Modern safety infrastructure has been strengthened as part of the regional action plan. Several facilities have been placed under technical protection, and panic buttons and surveillance cameras have been installed. In addition, individuals needing special attention and social prevention measures have been identified and assigned to responsible personnel. Initiatives such as “safe houses” and "safe streets" have also been implemented.
Particular focus is placed on the early prevention of offences. Through initiatives such as Social Prevention Week, mobile receptions, and job fairs, the social and household issues of residents are being explored at the household level, and practical solutions are being developed.
During a meeting with community representatives, the head of the Academy reviewed the progress made and stressed the importance of increasing civic responsibility, strengthening targeted preventive work, eliminating crime-prone areas, and responding timely to citizen appeals.
Recommendations were also provided on resolving family conflicts, improving living conditions, analyzing common types of offences, and enhancing cooperation between the “mahalla seven” and local residents. These recommendations were provided with the goal of transitioning the mahalla to a “green” category.
Following the review, a set of priority tasks was outlined to further strengthen ongoing efforts.
