A student of MIA Specialized Boarding School won a bronze medal at the IMAS International Olympiad

A student of the Specialized Boarding School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has achieved notable success on the international stage.
Sixth-grade student Muhammaddiyor Usmonjanov participated in the prestigious International Mathematics Assessment for Schools (IMAS) Olympiad and won a bronze medal.
The first stage of the competition was held on January 18, organized by the Talented School Organization. It was among students of grades 3–8 from specialized and presidential schools across the country. More than 750 students participated in the contest. Muhammaddiyor scored 39 points allowing him to qualify for the next round.
In the second stage, held on March 28, 2026, he once again demonstrated a strong performance and secured an honorable third place, earning a bronze medal.
The IMAS Olympiad has been held since 2011 and attracts talented students from more than 20 countries, including China, Romania, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
This achievement is an indication of the intellectual potential of the younger generation and is evidence of the positive results of ongoing reforms in the national educational system.
