The MIA Academy hosted a meeting with the EU-ACT Program Representative

A meeting was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with Kaspars Valpeteris, Regional Coordinator of the EU-ACT Program in Central Asia.
The EU-ACT program, funded by the European Union, is aimed at strengthening efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, and drug trafficking in Central Asia and beyond. The initiative supports law enforcement agencies by enhancing their institutional capacity, promoting advanced practices, and fostering regional cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union. It was emphasized that collaborative efforts within the framework of the EU-ACT program play an important role in assessing international best practices, strengthening the professional capacity of personnel, and planning future joint initiatives.
A particular focus was placed on the prospects for further developing bilateral cooperation, implementing regional projects aimed at countering transnational crime, and improving educational processes to align with modern trends and challenges.
Furthermore, a brief overview of the Academy's programs and infrastructure was provided to the guest during the visit.
