A Hungarian delegation visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

A delegation led by Deputy Director of the Hungarian National Bureau of Investigation, Norbert Dávid, visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of an official trip to Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the visit, guests were provided with an overview of the Academy's activities, including its history, stages of development, and recent major reforms and innovations. Additionally, the delegation toured key facilities and became acquainted with the modern educational environment and infrastructure.
Hungarian representatives were highly impressed with the advanced approaches used to train law enforcement personnel, the conditions created for students and faculty, and the Academy's great potential for further development.
At the end of the tour, the delegation was welcomed by Rustam Khatamov, the Head of the Academy. In a warm and constructive atmosphere, the meeting focused on expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
It was noted that bilateral cooperation between the two countries continues to grow across various sectors, including law enforcement, supported by a solid legal framework of intergovernmental and interagency agreements. Participants highlighted that the current visit provides an opportunity for the identification of new areas of partnership and their translation into practical actions.
During his remarks, Rustam Khatamov highlighted the strong ties between the two countries, noting that bilateral relations have made significant progress over the past few years, largely as a result of the efforts of the leadership in both nations. He described the meeting as a practical reflection of this growing cooperation.
In turn, Norbert Dávid expressed appreciation for the close and friendly relations between the two countries and emphasized that the visit would contribute to further strengthening cooperation and enriching it with practical content.
During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on key areas such as experience-sharing in personnel training, the development of joint educational programs, the introduction of advanced methods in combating global threats and transnational crime, and the strengthening of the legal framework for cooperation.
Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their commitment to further developing sustainable and mutually beneficial relations.
The Hungarian experts will also conduct training sessions on "Combating Cybercrime and Digital Forensics" for investigators and specialists in information technology-related crime, as well as for academy faculty and trainees.
