Recognizing selfless service in Bukhara

On March 22, the Mahalla System Workers Day is widely celebrated throughout the country, a day that reflects the high respect and recognition accorded to those who devote their efforts to the betterment of their local communities.
The Bukhara regional administration hosted a solemn award ceremony on the occasion of the holiday. State awards and commemorative badges were presented to deserving recipients.
A warm welcome was extended by regional governor Botir Zaripov to participants and he emphasized that consistent efforts are being made to enhance the role and prestige of the mahalla as an institution of self-government. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of strengthening community engagement and empowering active citizens to address local social issues.
Recent remarks delivered by the Head of State during the Navruz celebrations focused on the role of mahalla leaders and community activists in ensuring stability and resolving pressing social problems.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of March 19 this year, a group of citizens were honored with state awards, as well as the “Mahalla Pride” and “Labor Glory” breast badges, in recognition of their many years of dedicated service.
Notably, employees of the Bukhara regional internal affairs bodies, who tirelessly serve to ensure public safety and peace, were also among those recognized with high honors.
In particular, Captain Sanjar Akhmedov, Senior Preventive Inspector of the “Kumrabot” mahalla in Romitan district, was awarded the “For Faithful Service” medal. His dedicated efforts to ensure peace in every household, support youth development, and uphold human dignity have earned him the trust and respect of the community.
In addition, Major Obidjon Yunusov, Preventive Inspector of the “Arabkhona” mahalla in Olot district, was awarded the “Mahalla Pride” breast badge by the Mahalla Association of Uzbekistan.
These awards serve as a testament to not only the individual achievements of the award recipients, but also to the collective efforts of all personnel of the Bukhara regional internal affairs bodies, who work tirelessly to ensure public peace and stability.
These honors will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration for continued dedication and excellence in service.
