The session focused on the implementation of tasks set during a recent videoconference, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to improve the system for handling public appeals. Participants discussed not only the legal resolution of citizens' and legal entities' requests, but also the necessity of systematically analyzing root causes, identifying contributing factors, and reducing the number of recurring appeals.
A number of key priorities were outlined to further develop the sector, including digitization of processes, increasing the efficiency of daily work, developing the professional skills of young staff through a mentoring program, and improving the overall quality of investigative activities. Furthermore, a special emphasis was placed on strengthening executive discipline and ensuring the reliable protection of citizens' rights and legitimate interests.
In the meeting, the Deputy Minister conducted a detailed analysis of procedural errors and shortcomings identified in criminal case investigations at both the district level and the city level. As a result of this review, specific instructions have been given to the heads of territorial investigation units in order to improve the quality of investigations and ensure the effective organization of daily work for investigators and inquiry officers.
Furthermore, measures were identified in order to enhance personal responsibility and enhance the professional knowledge and competence of personnel.
