Strengthening open dialogue with young people, supporting their ideas and initiatives, and helping them find their rightful place in society remain key priorities of state policy in Uzbekistan. The large-scale efforts being carried out in this direction are aimed at protecting the rights and interests of the younger generation, shielding them from negative influences, and creating favorable conditions for education and employment.
As part of these efforts, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, held an open dialogue with young people.
During the meeting, participants shared their concerns, proposals, and initiatives. Discussions focused on practical measures to support youth and expand developmental opportunities.
The Minister presented detailed information regarding the initiatives put forward by the Head of State in order to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism, protect them from crime and harmful influences, and address issues related to education and employment. He also emphasized the ongoing work being carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to support young people.
It was noted that particular attention is being given to establishing an effective system of targeting youth work. As part of this initiative, a database called "Youth Balance" has been created for the purpose of coordinating activities with young people across the districts of the capital. A total of 13 coordination headquarters have been established within this framework.
Furthermore, 815 young people have been individually assigned to 84 leaders from district internal affairs bodies. Through this system, their social conditions and challenges are studied, and targeted measures are taken to provide assistance and support.
A number of monitoring mechanisms have also been introduced to ensure systematic work in this direction. It includes collecting information on young people who have applied to the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department's duty unit and appeals department on a daily basis, as well as those who have obtained passports for foreign travel, have traveled abroad, are under probation supervision, have violated court-imposed restrictions, violated traffic laws, or have been charged with criminal or administrative offenses.
During the meeting, officials engaged in dialogue with young people from all districts of the capital and listened carefully to their concerns. Each issue raised was reviewed, and responsible leaders were given specific instructions to address them.
Particular attention was also paid to active and initiative-driven youth proposals. Relevant tasks were set to support these initiatives, further increase youth participation in social life, and encourage their constructive ideas.
Following the dialogue, the young participants expressed their willingness to actively contribute to the development of the country and to the maintenance of peace and stability in society. Additionally, they stated that such open discussions serve as a source of motivation and provide new opportunities for young people.
These meetings contribute to strengthening the effectiveness of youth policy by addressing issues directly, listening to the perspectives of young people, and supporting their efforts.
