On February 28, a discussion meeting was held within the internal affairs bodies of the Surkhandarya region focused on developing the “Surkhandarya experience” in determining procedural timeframes for criminal cases. Deputy Head of the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel Mansur Sattarov, led the meeting, which was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Khurshid Atanazarov, Deputy Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs - Head of the Investigation Department. The event brought together the leadership of the cities and districts of Termez, Angor, Boysun, Sherabad, Kizirik, and Bandikhon, as well as officers from sectoral services responsible for conducting pre-investigation activities.

During the discussion, particular attention was given to improving the efficiency of pre-investigation checks, ensuring the timely and high-quality investigation of crimes, and adopting lawful decisions within clearly established procedural deadlines. Participants exchanged views on practical mechanisms to streamline processes and strengthen accountability.

Following the meeting, specific tasks were assigned to responsible officials in order to enhance performance in this area. Also, the decision was made to organize similar training and discussion seminars in the remaining cities and districts of the region to ensure consistent implementation of best practices.
