As part of the "Safe and Prosperous Mahalla" principle, targeted measures are being implemented in the Akaltin district of Sirdarya region to strengthen early crime prevention and maintain public safety.
As part of a working visit, the Head of the Sirdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs reviewed ongoing efforts in the district focused on preventing crime and offenses at an early stage.
The visit began in the “A. Navoi” mahalla, where the Head of the Department met with the local prevention inspector and community representatives. Discussions centered on the criminogenic situation in the mahalla, targeted engagement with residents, and preventive measures, particularly among youth and women.
The prevention inspector presented detailed information on the “household-based” system of work, as well as outreach and awareness activities conducted with families facing social challenges. Several specific tasks have been set in order to strengthen individualized preventative work with persons at risk of offenses and to enhance oversight of individuals under preventive supervision.
During the visit, meetings were also held with various categories of citizens, including those on preventive registers, socially vulnerable families, young people, and women. The Head of the Department personally reviewed their social conditions, living standards, and existing concerns.
Each appeal and proposal raised during the meetings was carefully considered. Agencies responsible for addressing identified issues were assigned concrete tasks, with a particular focus on enhancing the rehabilitation of people at risk of committing crimes.
As a result of these discussions it was indicated that maintaining a continuous dialogue with the population by visiting households and identifying and resolving concerns promptly is crucial to effectively implementing the "Safe and Prosperous Mahalla" principle.
The visit was concluded with instructions to the responsible officers aimed at improving service efficiency, enhancing early prevention measures, and ensuring peace and stability in the community.
