A seminar on enhancing investigative activities was held in Fergana region

A training and practical seminar aimed at further improving investigative activities was held in the Fergana Region as part of the official visit of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel Ramazon Ashropov.
The event was organized to elevate investigative practices to a new level and to strengthen the professional knowledge and practical skills of investigators and inquiry officers serving within the internal affairs and prosecution bodies.
The seminar was conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was held at the regional internal affairs department to ensure the implementation of tasks set by the Head of State at the National Anti-Corruption Council meeting on March 5 last year and during the videoconference meeting on establishing best practices for creating a safe environment held on January 27 in Tashkent.
The seminar was attended by Deputy Minister Ramazon Ashropov, First Deputy Prosecutor General Bahriddin Valiev, Supreme Court Judge Sardor Dilshodovich Taganov, investigators and inquiry officers of the regional internal affairs bodies, responsible officials of the regional prosecutor’s office, district and city prosecutors, as well as representatives of the mass media.
During the event, comprehensive presentations were delivered on the topic: “The Procedure for Receiving, Registering, Reviewing and Making Final Decisions on Applications and Reports of Crimes and Incidents, as well as Ensuring the Rule of Law in These Processes.” Particular attention was given to improving the quality and legality of investigative procedures.
Experienced experts addressed existing shortcomings identified during the court proceedings. They also addressed modern methods for detecting and securing electronic evidence using digital criminology tools, and the specific features of investigating cybercrimes committed through information technologies.
It was noted that such training and practical seminars will be conducted regularly, contributing to greater efficiency in investigative work and the development of professional competencies among law enforcement officials.
