The Head of the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Major General Tokhir Aripov, conducted a working visit to Samarkand city and Pastdargam district to review ongoing efforts aimed at creating a safe environment in local mahallas, ensuring public security, and preventing crime.
During the visit to the “Koksaroy” mahalla of Samarkand city, where the criminal situation remains complex, particular attention was given to the activities of the “Special Headquarters” and the “Working Group” established to stabilize the situation. Their coordinated efforts focus on identifying pressing community issues and implementing practical solutions to address them effectively.
A briefing was held with personnel responsible for maintaining public order, as well as representatives of partner organizations. Clear priorities and concrete tasks were outlined to further enhance cooperation and improve preventive measures.
The Head of the Department also visited the “Yangiobod” mahalla in Pastdargam district, another area facing significant crime-related challenges. During his visit, he carefully reviewed the quarterly roadmap developed for transforming the mahalla into a safe and stable one. Specific instructions were provided to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the planned measures.
The purpose of these on-site assessments is to enhance accountability, improve coordination, and reinforce systematic efforts to ensure the peace and safety of residents.
