A working visit to Turakurgan district was conducted by the leadership of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, ensure early prevention of offenses, and transform mahallas into crime-free areas. Additionally, the visit focused on evaluating how the Chilanzar district of Tashkent can organize service activities efficiently and effectively.
A working group led by the Head of the Department met with prevention inspectors serving in the “Kalvak” and “Turkiston” mahallas, where their activities in crime prevention were thoroughly reviewed and analyzed.
Furthermore, the district governor, prosecutor, members of the “mahalla seven,” and community representatives participated in a critical and analytical discussion regarding the causes of serious crimes committed within families. This included murder and intentional grievous bodily harm.
Responsible officials were assigned specific tasks and instructions to advance the goal of transforming mahallas into crime-free zones. These included conducting targeted assessments of existing social issues, enhancing individual prevention work with families experiencing conflict, providing employment opportunities to the unemployed, and implementing other priority measures.
The visit reaffirmed the commitment of the internal affairs bodies to systematic, coordinated, and results-oriented efforts aimed at ensuring public safety and social stability.
