The event was organized under the framework of the UN Global Program on Cyber Security and New Technologies with the support of the European Union on the theme "Developing national anti-terrorism policies and quick response measures to counter the use of new technologies for terrorism while protecting human rights".
Members of the Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber, the Cabinet of Ministers, and relevant ministries and law enforcement agencies attended the event. The Counter-Terrorism Center under the UN Counter-Terrorism Office presented a report "On the use of new technologies by Uzbek law enforcement agencies in fighting terrorism."
The main objective of this event is to strengthen the capacities of law enforcement agencies in this area, as terrorists are increasingly using new technologies and innovations to implement their destructive plans.
Furthermore, opinions were expressed at the event about enhancing cooperation in unifying international and regional efforts in the fight against terrorism and in ensuring human rights and the rule of law.
