The Head of DIA of Samarkand region reported on Public Safety measures at the Regional Council Session

At the next session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People’s Deputies, the Head of the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Major General Tokhir Aripov, presented a report on the measures being taken to improve the criminogenic situation, prevent crimes, and eliminate offenses across the region.
During the session, particular attention was given to the results achieved in 2025, as well as to the current tasks aimed at strengthening public safety and maintaining law and order.
Special focus was also placed on the implementation of tasks outlined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during a critical national meeting. These tasks included future measures to combat organized crime, drug-related offenses, cybercrime, and the shadow economy.
The report provided detailed information on ongoing initiatives designed to transform the Samarkand region into a crime-free area, as well as on projects aimed at enhancing citizens' safety and security.
Following the discussion, deputies' proposals and recommendations were considered, and key priorities were identified for further action.
