A critical and analytical meeting dedicated to creating a safe environment in mahallas and enhancing the system of early crime prevention was held in Navoi under the leadership of the regional governor.
The meeting brought together representatives of the regional administration, law enforcement agencies, officials responsible for women’s and youth affairs, and leaders of mahalla sevens. Using the mahallas of Karmana district as an example, participants closely analyzed the current criminal situation and discussed effective solutions.
During the meeting, reports were delivered by the regional prosecutor, the Head of the Navoi Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the governor of Karmana district, and representatives of the “Kumushkon” mahalla. Each speaker outlined the measures being implemented and the steps required to further improve safety and stability in their respective areas.
It was emphasized that tangible and sustainable results could only be achieved through joint efforts aimed at moving “high-risk” mahallas into the “safe” category, lifting families out of poverty, ensuring employment for every citizen, and systematically preventing crime. Based on this approach, concrete plans for coordinated action were developed.
Following the meeting, the work of mahalla teams that demonstrated positive results over the year was acknowledged. In recognition of their contribution, a group of prevention inspectors was awarded certificates of appreciation and modern computer equipment by the regional govenor.
