The head of the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Major General Takhir Aripov, paid working visits to the Okdarya, Pastdargom, and Ishtikhon districts to review ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring public safety and preventing crime.

A special focus was placed on the "Ishtikhan" mahalla of Ishtikhon district, which has been identified as having a complex criminogenic environment. During the site inspection, the measures being implemented to stabilize the situation were carefully examined.

In the “Nayman” mahalla of Pastdargom district and the “Mustaqillik” mahallas of Okdarya district, the activities of the “mahalla seven” structure were critically analyzed. The effectiveness of preventive measures in these areas was assessed, and shortcomings were identified.

Moreover, practical training sessions were held for employees of partner organizations as well as personnel responsible for ensuring public safety. Priority tasks were identified during these sessions as a means of further strengthening cooperation and improving the effectiveness of preventive efforts.
