The event was officially opened by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov. He read out the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan addressed to the Armed Forces on the occasion of the national holiday.
During the ceremony, participants reflected on the large-scale reforms being implemented within the internal affairs system, which serve as a solid foundation for national stability and public peace. It was also noted that ongoing efforts are being made to enhance the conditions of service for employees and to improve the social protection provided to them. It was emphasized that the internal affairs bodies have evolved into professional and citizen-oriented structures, in which every employee considers loyalty to the country and people his or her highest duty, and directs all efforts toward safeguarding human dignity at all times.

In honor of Defenders of the Fatherland Day, 7 employees of the internal affairs bodies were awarded state honors by Presidential Decree, while 631 employees who demonstrated outstanding performance and earned the respect of the public and their colleagues were presented with departmental awards by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Additionally, special ranks were conferred on employees who have faithfully performed their duties. The event also honored three long-serving officers who, after many years of effective service and sharing their rich experience with younger colleagues, were ceremonially retired.
During the festive gathering, award recipients, distinguished employees, and representatives of the public addressed the audience, emphasizing that serving the Motherland and the people with honesty, loyalty, and dedication is both a great honor and a profound responsibility for everyone.
