A solemn ceremony was held to present ID cards to newly-naturalized citizens in Tashkent region

Following a Presidential Decree, a group of individuals permanently residing in the Tashkent region who previously were stateless were granted citizenship and formally presented with a national ID card.
As part of the comprehensive reforms initiated by the Head of State, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, efforts to grant citizenship to stateless persons are being carried out consistently and systematically. Within the framework of this event, 61 residents of Tashkent region were recognized as citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and received their identification cards in accordance with established procedures.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Abduvosit Abdurazakov, the First Deputy Governor of the region, Otabek Tursunov, as well as representatives of the public.
During the event, speakers pointed out that the President's reforms in the area of citizenship are intended to ensure justice, equality, and the protection of human rights. It was emphasized that these initiatives contribute significantly to strengthening social stability and improving the well-being of citizens across the country.
