Every appeal received by state bodies reflects the concerns, difficulties, and expectations of an individual, a family, or an entire community. A thoughtful and responsible approach to addressing these issues enhances public trust in state institutions. It also contributes to the further development and improvement of the public administration system.
Increasingly, the responsiveness of government bodies to the problems of citizens has become a key indicator of their effectiveness. As part of this process, on December 28 of this year, personal receptions were held with citizens in the presence of responsible leaders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During these receptions, a total of 461 appeals were received on matters within the competence of the ministry. The majority concerned the recovery of property and financial assets, ensuring road safety, conducting pre-investigation checks, inquiries and investigative actions, as well as personnel-related issues. Of these, 249 appeals, accounting for 54 percent, were resolved promptly and positively in accordance with the law. The remaining 212 appeals (46 percent), which required additional investigation and coordination with relevant sector bodies, underwent special monitoring, and specific instructions were issued to responsible officials.
In parallel, 248 appeals were received during on-site personal receptions conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Main Departments of Internal Affairs of Tashkent City and Tashkent Region, as well as the regional departments of internal affairs. Of these appeals, 102 (41 percent) were resolved positively during the reception process, while 146 appeals (59 percent) were forwarded for further investigation and resolution.
Throughout the process of dealing with citizens' appeals, emphasis was placed not only on addressing individual concerns but also on identifying the underlying causes of problems, understanding the real needs of the public, and ensuring their systematic resolution.
The concluding year has been marked by a productive and open dialogue between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the public on both a sectoral and territorial level. In the coming year, this approach will be consistently followed, with all service activities completed with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
