A special meeting was held in Tashkent with the participation of the heads of the city’s law enforcement agencies. The meeting reviewed the circumstances surrounding an extremely serious murder committed in the “Ziyonur” mahalla of Mirabad district.
During the discussion, both the objective and subjective factors that led to the crime commission were thoroughly analyzed. Explanations were requested from responsible officials regarding the shortcomings in their preventive work.
According to the analytical data presented, six crimes were recorded in the “Ziyonur” mahalla over the past 11 months, five of which were classified as preventable. This highlighted deficiencies in early prevention and community-level intervention.
The meeting was conducted critically and constructively. Responsible officials overseeing the “mahalla seven” system and social crime prevention activities in the “Ziyonur” mahalla were given specific instructions. These included ensuring employment opportunities for young people, women, previously convicted and pardoned individuals, and organizing targeted individual preventive measures.
A particular emphasis was placed on identifying and addressing socio-economic issues of at-risk groups in order to prevent criminal behavior from reoccurring in the future.
