Tashkent region hosted the Championship in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

In Octagon, young athletes and law enforcement officers competed in 12 weight categories to demonstrate their skills, endurance, and determination.
In each weight category, the fights were intense and closely contested. In particular, Aziz Kadirov won convincingly over Abdulla Umirov at 54 kg. Muhammad Kamiljonov prevailed over Odilbek Kiyomov in the 61.2 kg category, displaying the high level of preparation shown by both fighters.
In the 65.8 kg weight category, Mirsobit Murodov prevailed over Khozhiakbar Pulatov. In the 70 kg division, Azim Nishonov won a decisive victory over Timur Abdullaev. One of the most highly anticipated matches took place in the 93 kg category. The intense and uncompromising fight between Hayot Juraboev and Sindor Bahriddinov captivated the audience. Juraboev won with a powerful and well-timed strike. High-level clashes also took place in the 97+ kg category.
Following the competition, the winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas, trophies and commemorative gifts by officials of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
This championship, which will continue to be held regularly, aims to support promising young talents in mixed martial arts. It also aims to further promote the sport in the region. The growing attention to MMA, including the strengthening of the federation’s activities and the appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan as its head, highlights the increasing importance of this discipline at the state level.
As part of efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, foster interest in sports, and enhance the physical and mental readiness of personnel, the Tashkent Regional MMA Tournament "Cup of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs" was also held in Nurafshan city.
