Measures to enhance crime prevention and investigative quality are discussed in Fergana region

The Fergana Regional Internal Affairs Department held a working meeting under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel R. Ashropov.
Videoconference was used to bring together the leadership of the regional internal affairs bodies, heads of the sector services, chiefs of territorial departments, inquiry officers, investigators, and other responsible individuals.
During the meeting, participants discussed the work being done to prevent crimes and offenses at the earliest possible stage. Special attention was paid to strengthening the daily oversight of the activities of the "mahalla seven," improving the effectiveness of social prevention departments, and improving coordination among the entities responsible for early crime prevention. During the meeting, officials provided reports on identified deficiencies and clarified the steps that have been taken to address them.
Discussions also focused on improving investigative work quality, developing the professional skills and competencies of young staff, and strengthening practical cooperation with judicial authorities. Proposals were considered to further increase the efficiency of investigative processes and ensure timely procedural responses.
Following the meeting, specific tasks were assigned to responsible leaders to eliminate existing problems and further improve the effectiveness of crime prevention and investigative activities.
