The Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable discussion focused on enhancing international indices and ratings in public security. The event brought together representatives of the relevant sector departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the discussions, participants analyzed in detail the methodology and indicators of international ratings. They also reviewed the results reflected in several indices published in 2025. Particular attention was paid to the indicators of the national “Priority of Law” index, its current assessment criteria, and opportunities for improvement.
Additionally, the meeting addressed a number of practical challenges encountered in the process of working with international indices. Participants exchanged views and presented proposals aimed at improving the accuracy of statistical data and increasing interdepartmental coordination effectiveness.
The roundtable served as an important platform for defining the next steps aimed at strengthening cooperation between law enforcement bodies and specialized services, enhancing analytical capacity, and improving the status of the country in both international and national security-related ratings.
